About us
My name is Rashmi — and Rush Me Fashions is my life's work.
We Make Clothes You'll Wear For Years. Not Seasons.
Rush Me Fashions started over a decade ago with a simple but strong belief — that a woman shouldn't have to choose between beautiful and comfortable. Between handcrafted and wearable. Between unique and practical.
We're based in Pune, and everything we make is designed in-house, by us.
What We Actually Do
We travel across India sourcing extraordinary fabrics — handwoven Ikkat from the looms of Odisha and Telangana, hand block printed and natural dyed fabrics from Gujarat and Rajasthan's ancient craft villages, intricate Pen Kalamkari from Srikalahasti. Fabrics that carry a history most fast-fashion brands will never understand.
Then we bring them back to our Pune studio and design them into something you can actually wear — to the office, to a family gathering, on a relaxed Sunday, or anywhere life takes you.
Every detail you see on our clothes is in-house designed. You won't find it anywhere else. That's not a marketing line. It's just how we work.
The Ikkat Story
Our Ikkat collection is the heart of what we do.
Ikkat is a handwoven fabric — each thread individually resist-dyed before weaving, creating patterns that emerge only as the fabric comes together on the loom. It is slow, skilled, irreplaceable work. One weaver. One loom. Weeks of effort per piece of fabric.
But what makes our Ikkat kurtas truly different is what happens after the fabric arrives with us.
We design each piece as a collage of Indian arts. A single kurta might bring together an exclusive Ikkat weave from Sambalpur, Odisha, Dana hand embroidery from Gujarat, Lambani handwork from Karnataka, and a hand painted Pen Kalamkari from Srikalahasti. Crafts that have existed for centuries — brought together into one wearable piece, designed entirely in-house.
No two combinations are the same. No design is repeated. And because we work with handwoven fabric, we can make a maximum of 50 pieces per design. Not 500. Not 5,000. Fifty.
When a design sells out, it's gone. We don't restock it. We don't manufacture more. We move to the next design — equally considered, equally limited.
This is not artificial scarcity. It is simply the truth of working with handwoven fabric.
The Detail You Might Not Expect
We obsess over fit in a way most readymade brands don't.
Every garment we make carries a 2-inch margin built into the seams — enough room to let the garment out by one full size if needed. This means you can buy confidently knowing that if the fit isn't perfect straight away, it can be adjusted to be exactly right.
We also work with fabric that breathes. Pure cotton. Pure Ikkat. No synthetic blends. No shortcuts on material because shortcuts show — in how a garment feels after three hours of wearing it, in how it looks after ten washes, in whether you reach for it again or leave it in the back of the wardrobe.
Thirteen Years of Doing This
We didn't start as a big brand and we haven't tried to become one.
What we've built instead is a community of women — across India, and in several countries beyond — who come back, season after season, because they trust what we make. Our returning customer rate tells us that more than any award could.
We know many of our customers by name. Some have been buying from us for eight, ten years. They message us when a new Ikkat drop arrives. They send photos of themselves wearing our pieces at weddings, at work, on trips. That relationship is something we protect carefully.
What We Believe
We believe handcraft deserves to be worn, not just admired.
We believe a well-made cotton kurta is more sustainable — for your wardrobe, for your budget, for the planet — than ten cheap pieces that don't last.
We believe the women who weave our Ikkat and the craftsmen who carve our block prints deserve to be part of the story, not hidden behind it.
And we believe you deserve to know exactly what you're buying — the fabric, the technique, the origin, the hands that made it — before you spend your money.
